As a key member of our data team, you will play a crucial role in migrating our existing on-premises Microsoft BI applications to the Azure public cloud. Your expertise in Microsoft BI technologies, data warehousing, and Azure will be essential for a successful migration. Roles & Responsibilities: -• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand existing Microsoft BI applications, data models, and ETL processes. • Plan and execute the migration of Microsoft BI applications from on-premises to Azure Synapse Analytics (Azure SQL Data Warehouse). Experience with redesigning and implementation of data warehouses on Azure using Azure Datafactory(ADF), Integration runtime, ADF pipelines, SSIS, SSAS, Azure Analysis Service • Assess existing data warehouse architecture, schema, data volumes, data flows, security, and operational dependencies. • Design and implement data model changes required during and after migration. • Utilize Azure services such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Database Migration Service for secure data migration. • Optimize performance and scalability of migrated solutions on Azure. • Ensure minimal disruption to end users during the migration process. • Implement testing and quality assurance to validate successful migration. • Monitor progress, assess checkpoints, and make informed decisions throughout the migration project. • Prepare a contingency plan and rollback points in case of any issues. Professional & Technical Skills: • Experience with redesigning and implementation of data warehouses on Azure using Azure Datafactory(ADF), Integration runtime, ADF pipelines, SSIS, SSAS, Azure Analysis Service • Certifications related to Datawarehouse, Microsoft BI and Azure. • Knowledge of differences between on-premises data warehouses and Azure Synapse. • MS BI, Power BI. Additional Information: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. • Proven experience in Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, Power BI). • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices. • Expertise in migrating data warehouses to Azure Synapse Analytics (Azure SQL Data Warehouse). • Familiarity with Azure services for data migration and ingestion. • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
