About the Function
MOVE Engineering LOB focuses on Tata Comm Global Mobile IOT Connect and SIM Connect Solution, MVNE Solution and Mobility Platforms based on 3G,4G,5G technologies. This particular function is one part of MOVE and Mobility engineering organization focusing on Software design, development and continuous Tech upgrade of API Gateway, Portal, KYC Function and Reports.
Purpose of your Role
This is an engineering specific role encompassing multiple delivery units for software design and development of MOVE and Mobility platform within BCMIS portfolio. Main objective being software delivery using agile methodology, skill management of the involved Software developers and leads.
You will be
A Techno-Management professional with result orientation, Deep knowledge of software development, project management and agile methodologies with skills in JAVA technologies and hands-on full stack development.

You will be accountable for Key Responsibilities
- Overall accountable to deliver features/user stories specific to IT API, MOVE Portal, KYC Portals and reporting.
- Resource allocation and management for Move Combined releases. monthly and effective utilization of resources across projects
- Maintain and manage Vendor relationship, TCS and others and closely monitor the work progress. Vendor SOW reviews/approvals, provide resource forecasting, vendor resource selection are some of the responsibilities this role demands
- Skill management, cross training within the team to build core capabilities for the modules. Identify future technology requirements and plan for any skill gaps
- Issue resolution, participate in delivery governance forums, collaborate with delivery excellence team to rollout processes as well as measure effectiveness
- Responsibility includes managing the tech upgrade and applying latest technologies for the mentioned modules.
- From time to time, identify best practices and implement them as part of continuous improvement initiatives
IT Operations Support
- Lead the team to resolve production issues in alignment with the MOVE Ops teams
- Focus on the platform stability and rollout new initiatives to continuously improve the platform up time
- Proactive identification of issues and resolve in timely manner to avoid service disruption
- Drive root cause for all major issues/incidents and provide permanent fixes without impacting the services to customers
- Collaborate with wider cross functional teams to identify the issues and bring them under common Change advisory board process to minimize impacts
- Conduct monthly health checks along with the Engineering subsystem owners to proactively identify bottlenecks and plan for addressing them
Team Development
Regularly review team structure and assess talent requirements, participate in the recruitment and selection process, conduct goal setting and performance review for the team, drive team development, engagement and reward initiatives, coach and mentor team members as required and ensure resolution of any people issues.
You Are
Techno-Management Professional Balances technology aspects with R and D management. Focuses on improving team and R and D capability continuously. Builds processes and systems to bring predictability and improve efficiency for software development in JAVA Technologies and full stack development.
You understand IOT domain and cellular technology domain well

You have - Qualification and exp
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Preferably Computer Science, experience level - 22 years. Software Development, Agile Methodologies, JAVA technologies and full stake development.
