Assistant Director, Finance- Global Managed Services

This role serves as a business partner and advisor to key business leaders.The role provides critical thinking on business and operating performance, financial results, forward-looking projections, and market trends to drive improved business insights and inform business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Be a 'Go To' contact for financial and operational issues while supporting Managed Services Leaders and act as a trusted business adviser. Develop effective working relationships with the extended Finance team and leadership.
• Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting, focusing on financial analysis and commentary, including analysis and insights around Sales, Pipeline and GTER.Maintain a robust month end reporting process, and ensure commentaries are timely, concise, insightful and action orientated.
• Provide support to Global MS leadership and advise on performance and forecast expectations against plan throughout the year, deliver insights and recommendations. Support financial scenario modeling, providing recommended solutions/outcomes within a range of options.
• Collaborate with Reporting COE to develop and maintain primary financial reporting solutions to deliver actionable, accurate, and timely distribution of critical information.
• Analyze and present complex financial data in a way that is easily understandable. Pro-actively suggest ways to solve problems and to display presentations. Develop and support the delivery of presentations that engage audiences, responding to questions and concerns.
• Respond to requests from Finance and Business Leadership to answer specific ad hoc performance questions and provide insightful information to advance leadership discussion and decision making. Support the design and delivery of ad hoc financial analysis, identifying trends and issues.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required to perform this position; graduate and/or professional certification in a business-related subject matter (i.e. Accounting, Finance) is required to perform this position.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze problems, design and implement solutions independently.
• Advanced Excel, Power BI & PowerPoint skills - ability to understand and exploit large data sets, present analysis and results through story-telling and problem solving is vital.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced business with rapid growth; ability to handle ambiguity and frame and solve problems is key.
• Highly team-oriented approach, with flexibility regarding tasks undertaken and the ability to prioritize a number of conflicting demands to meet exacting deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills - can work alongside and gain the trust and respect of stakeholders at all levels of seniority, and excellent communication skills – written and verbal.Strong spoken and written English.
• Global mindset – ability to work effectively as a virtual team member. Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural and diverse environment and flex style as appropriate.Flexibility to work with different time zones.
• Credibility and confidence to challenge and propose better ways of doing things as well as build bridges and harmonize divergent interests and priorities.
• Understanding of EY business model and reporting systems.
