Description

Amazon is seeking a Foreign Tax Analyst to join its Direct Tax Reporting team in Hyderabad, India. The Amazon tax department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment. This position will be responsible for supporting all facets of the foreign reporting team, including process simplification, coordinating with various stakeholders and preparing various compliance deliverables for manager review. This position will also provide support on multiple process simplification projects.

Key job responsibilities
• Prepare local tax provisions for the Amazon entities/Geos assigned under US GAAP, IFRS/Local GAAP, including preparation of current and deferred tax calculations, disclosures and journal entries for the Interim and Year End Financial Statements;
• Develop, implement, and document standard procedures for tax compliance and reporting processes;
• Preparation of Foreign Corporation Tax Returns, other tax filings and supporting work papers;
• Preparation of estimated Instalment Payments calculations;
• Able to extract, analyze, review data and make appropriate recommendations.
• Support Audit queries with required data/information by extracting from various tools/sources.
• Assist with process improvements and automation implementation throughout the foreign tax reporting and compliance process;

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working in direct tax compliance (US or Non-US)

Preferred Qualifications

- Certification as CA/CPA preferred • Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and independently define, implement, and manage creation of new processes • Experience with Corptax, Oracle • Strong computer skills including MS Office • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced and dynamic environment
