Conduct ongoing review of operations and processes to identify potential hazards, risks and control measures that should be implemented to reduce these risks. Drive Risk Reductions across site and operations.

Assess and document hazards, risks, and controls in a manner consistent with established procedures and practices.

Supervising contractors work onsite and work permit management.

Supervise the safe handling, storage & disposal of hazardous materials.

Supervise the operation of any potential hazards in the workplace.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace

Provide EHS training, toolbox talks and induction trainings

Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies are followed.

Investigate contractor accidents and injuries and refer them to the proper authorities

Identify and assess hazards, risks and control measures for a specific operation or process.

Supervise Gas cylinder management , storage, and handling.

Supervise Crane operations, heavy material handling and contractor management

Implement contractor management program and compliance, pre-and periodic vendor evaluation, contractor matrix management etc.

Ensure BOCW requirements are complied with.

Perform the hand and powered tools inspections and ensure compliance with established program requirement

support the EHS awareness and employee EHS engagement campaigns

Role will involve Day/Night Shift work

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field

Proven experience working as a Safety Officer in a research or industrial setting

Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety procedures

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other safety management software
