India Strategy - Equity Research

Strategy:

• Supporting fundamental research to identify investment trends and develop strategies, analysis, and themes to feature in reports.
• Create investment strategies based on styles, sectors, themes after analysing market performance and events to extrapolate future trends.
• Back-testing investment strategies to ensure consistency of trends and building further predictive models based on this.
• Creating new and maintaining existing databases using Bloomberg/CMIE etc. for pulling data at company/sector/country/global level and analysing it to draw accurate and meaningful conclusions.
• Analyse large datasets to identify patterns and trends and arrive at meaningful conclusions that can be used for equity investment decisions.
• Use output from statistical analysis to build investible portfolios.
• Assist in writing research notes and preparing associated charts and tables.
• Working on client requests (complex) by collating data from public and internal resources and drawing meaningful conclusions.
• End-to-end execution of monthly and quarterly recurring strategy notes - including building & updating databases and writing reports.
• Actively track India and global news to identify current and potential themes which might be of interest to investors.
• Actively and independently come up with new ideas, analysis, charts, themes to include in strategy thematic reports

Coverage Maintenance:

• End-to-end execution of quarterly earnings, annual report analysis including a) adding historical numbers and adjusting for forecasts, b) writing result notes, c) visualization of ideas/themes
• Working on models independently to adjust for business restructures, M&A
• Create new and maintain existing demand supply models for several sectors
• Marketing presentation: Frequent update of regular marketing presentation decks to reflect the most view
