As the Employee Conduct Officer in the EC Analytics Team, you are responsible for measuring risk and monitoring of the Employee Compliance (EC) space. The team’s focus is to create and measure effective monitoring by leveraging statistics, technology, and business knowledge to develop solutions. You will drive technological innovation by bridging the gaps between business needs and technology capabilities to establish standard measurements and risk based decision making. This role encompasses is a hybrid of data engineering, coding, analysis, and Employee Compliance knowledge.
Job responsibilities:
- Create in-depth analytics using tools including, but not limited to SAS, Python, SQL, and Databricks.
- Provide clear advice to technology on the implement on projects created within the EC Analytics space.
- Ability to effectively teach and learn common data engineering techniques that would be leveraged across multiple projects.
- Serve as the subject matter expert to application / data lake technology for productionizing code and/or scripts.
- Liaise with technology teams and other project managers to contribute to process improvements by communicating business requirements.
- Identify and escalate process issues/risks and remediation plans.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Ability to write in Python and SQL at intermediate to advanced level.
- Ability to learn new languages and applications as required to support data analytic projects.
- Prior experience on a Compliance team or any other similar function
- Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions, including escalation when appropriate, in regard to data and technology roadblocks.
- Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to articulate complex issues to a range of audiences, including business management, other Compliance, Legal and control colleagues, as well as Audit
- Demonstrated flexibility including willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Ability to write in R statistical language at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Prior experience on an Employee Compliance based team.
