EY_ Consulting _ RISK Internal Audit – Senior_ Telecom (TMT) Sector

As part of our Consulting Risk Management team, our clients seek EY’s expertise in consulting solutions, particularly in Internal Audit, Process Compliance and Reviews, SOX 404, Developing Standard Operating Procedure manuals, and Enterprise Risk Management.

In this role, you’ll encounter a variety of challenges and distinct business environments with each client, offering opportunities to learn, adapt, and contribute to developing tailored solutions. The opportunity

This client-facing role in a rapidly growing practice allows you to build relationships with key stakeholders, including management executives of globally recognized brands. You'll gain a deeper understanding of complex business transactions and recommend solutions for pressing business challenges and process inefficiencies. You’ll collaborate with our performance improvement professionals on multidisciplinary engagements, helping major global clients transform and sustain business performance. The team focuses on leveraging emerging technologies such as Robotics, AI, and Advanced Analytics to enhance various risk management and internal control solutions. By connecting with our market-leading global network, you'll gain the experience needed to become an exceptional Risk Advisor.

Your key responsibilities

Market, Leadership, and Growth

• Cultivate executive-level skills in client relationship management, engaging with senior management executives.
• Partner with onshore teams to understand clients' businesses and industry issues, conducting risk management and internal control engagements for global clients.
• Demonstrate market leadership and participate in key business development efforts.
• Support the practice in expanding the Risk Management sector within the Enterprise Risk Team.
• Drive multiple innovation initiatives to enhance existing solutions leveraging emerging technologies like Robotics, AI, and Advanced Analytics.
• Collaborate with colleagues across service lines, sharing your knowledge and experience to guide business decisions.
• Monitor industry news, tools, and trends, suggesting potential risks and opportunities to improve our work.
• Collaborate with global sector leads/teams to grow Risk Management sector accounts across solutions.
• Actively participate in sector pursuits, showcasing sector expertise within the team, solutions, and enablers.
• Support in building strategies to grow EY’s footprint in the Risk Management sector, increasing integration across accounts.

• Independently manage client assignments with minimal supervision.
• Manage multiple assignments and project teams.
• Meet quality guidelines within established turnaround times or budgets.
• Constantly monitor project progress, manage risk, and keep key stakeholders informed.
• Demonstrate a solution-based approach to problem-solving during client engagements, documenting working papers.
• Anticipate and identify engagement-related risks, escalating issues appropriately.
• Identify process gaps and provide recommendations based on client business processes and industry practices.

• Suggest ideas to improve engagement productivity and identify opportunities for enhancing client service.
• Manage engagement budgets, ensuring compliance with plans and internal quality and risk management procedures.

Skills and attributes for success

• Exceptional command of spoken and written English.

• Strong academic history (degree in Business, Accounting, or similar work experience in a related industry, Big 4 preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, data analysis, and validation.

• Ability to prioritize deliverables effectively to achieve optimum results.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• More than 6 years of “Big 4” or professional firm or industry experience in risk management, internal audit, or internal controls.
• Experience handling engagements in TMT (Telecom, Media and Technology) sector with a specialization in risk management.
• Strong academic history (degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, or similar).
• Strong multi-project management skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate, motivate, and guide high-performance teams.
• Cognitive problem-solving capabilities, quick decision-making skills, and the ability to handle complex situations calmly.
• Exceptional command of spoken and written English.
• Globally mobile and flexible to travel to onsite locations.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think innovatively and differently.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• A team player who can coach junior team members, helping them meet performance goals and grow their careers.
• Running sector-focused upskilling programs to train the team on the latest solutions/technologies in Risk Management.
• Supporting the development of new sector-focused solutions in collaboration with global sector teams.
• Leading the delivery of major sector accounts, showcasing sector depth and knowledge to stabilize accounts.
