Software Engineer Specialist - SAP BW
Key Terms of Reference:
- Technical specialist in SAP BW/4HANA version 2021 or earlier and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), especially in the Finance Domain
- Build and develop DW solutions, following best practices
- Knowledge and experience in ETL tools like SDI/SDA and BI tools like SAP Business Objects (BO)
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence fundamentals required
- Functional knowledge on SAP preferred
- Experience in Agile development practices preferred
- Prior experience of Cloud Transformations desirable
- Strong communication skills, and ability to influence stakeholders
Summary Description for the Role:
The role holder will be part of the Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence engineering team and is responsible for designing and building solutions using SAP BW/4HANA, SAC and SAP BO
Key responsibilities are:
- Design and build Data Warehouse models in SAP BW
- Data Load from SAP HR Systems i.e. SAP S4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors Cloud to SAP BW4HANA
- Experience in building BI reports, on tools like SAP BO, SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Ability to take ownership of solutions, from design stage to deployment.
- Support testing – CIT/E2E/UAT
- Analyse code and review designs
- Experience on cloud platforms a plus
- Work with geographically diverse development teams
- Stakeholder management
- Work in Agile and Waterfall delivery models
- Conduct Show & Tells with business users, propose solutions which provide business value to users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Engineering from recognized institutions
- Relevant, contemporary and industry recognised qualifications where appropriate.
- Relevant professional experience, relating to both business process and technical aspects of the role.
- Functional knowledge of SAP BI products
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence on SAP Platforms
Skills/Experience:
- Experience 7-14 yrs
- Extensive experience in SAP BW/4HANA version 2021 or earlier
- DW modeling and Design on SAP BW4HANA
- BI and Visualization using SAP BO, SAP Lumira and other tools
- ETL tools like SAP BW, SDI/SDA
