To further enhance our quality services, we are looking at expanding our manpower strength with high caliber professionals with experience in Electrical Engineering.DIRECTLY ACCOUNTABLE for:•Entire detailed engineering process consisting of preparation of engineering deliverables related to Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering (like data sheets, calculations, technical specifications, design specific QA/ QC requirements etc) while ensuring compliance to UOP’s technical specifications + processes & procedures.•Pre-bid engineering and estimation, including preparation of Electrical BOMs.•Electrical knowledge for Packaged Items (e.g. Compressors, Air Fin Coolers, Electrostatic coelessor etc.)•Prepare project electrical design documents for the designer, fabricator and installer incorporating applicable code and customer requirements.•Prepare single-line diagram and electrical wiring schematics for control of motors, electric heaters, panel boards and control panels.•Prepare electrical hazardous area classification drawings.•Review and approve engineering of power wiring, instrument wiring, grounding, lighting and receptacle layout design.•Prepare installation details for electrical construction.•Prepare cable schedules for power wiring and instrument cable.•Perform electrical design calculations for voltage drop, short circuit current, lighting, heat tracing, etc.•Perform equipment-sizing calculations for switchgear, motor control equipment, cable, etc.•Select and prepare equipment requisitions for NEC and IEC type hazardous area electrical equipment with attention to certifications.•Entire procurement process consisting of preparation of material/ purchase requisitions (for bids, for ordering, for costing exercises, design specific QA/ QC requirements etc); conducting evaluation of vendor bids including liquidating of TQ’s etc; conducting review of vendor engineering deliverables (like data sheets, drawings etc); guiding vendor thro’ manufacturing until dispatch status; ensuring compliance to UOP’s technical specifications + processes & procedures etc.•Identify inconsistencies and problems that may be present on P&IDs during the design phase and record changes on P&IDs in preparation for customer checks and official release.•Inspection and testing of electrical equipment and instrumentation part of skids/modules during fabrication/ construction for conformance with project equipment requirements and applicable codes.•Responsible for shop check-out etc for individual components required by an UOP’s Equipment Product Line and for the assembled Unit(s) and to support Field Services team for field activities (like field checkout, pre-commissioning/commissioning, start-up, collation of data for revamp opportunities, trouble-shooting etc)•Meet expectations for delivering: sales support and on-site technical services to customers for existing units etc.•Responsible for preparing/reviewing and/or approving various electrical and instrumentation related engineering documents either created by in-house engineering team or by a team from third party agencies.•Detailed engineering and production follow-up of electrical equipment and various instruments.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Relevant experience in detailed engineering for Electrical discipline for the petroleum refining & petrochemical industry•Candidate shall have an excellent knowledge of Principles, Practices and Procedures related to electrical and instrumentation engineering.•Experience in Design, Selection, Sizing and Application of various electrical equipment and instruments for turnkey projects. Experience shall include preparation of specifications, datasheets, requisitioning, technical procurement, inspection and testing, Field support and troubleshooting.•Experience/ Knowledge of inter-disciplinary linkages & interdependencies.•Understanding of Equipment Design and Fabrication techniques, standards and tools.•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be used at the International level with colleagues worldwide.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:•Minimum Bachelors degree in Electrical.•Masters degree may be an asset.•Able to communicate effectively in English.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:•Good analytical skills and sound judgment.•Highly motivated, Independent and Team player•Negotiation skills and business acumen are an advantage
