Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Director Associate Relations will oversee investigations, performance management, PoSH governance, ethics, and compliance charters within Walmart IDC for an associate population of 13000 folks in India. The Director Associate Relations along with their team will assume responsibility for ensuring comprehensive organizational compliance, encompassing policy adherence, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

What you'll do:

• Policy Governance and Compliance

• The Director Associate Relations will ensure adherence to policies and legal requirements, mitigating risks and upholding IDC's reputation. The role encompasses active involvement in designing and governing policies in line with Indian Labor Laws, ensuring compliance across three locations and nearly 400 labour statutes.

• Culture Building:

By spearheading initiatives to build a culture of compliance and transparency, collaborating with the learning team and people partners to share insights, and fostering better organizational governance, the incumbent will cultivate a positive work environment conducive to growth and success.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including the learning team and people partners, the incumbent will drive strategic initiatives to promote a culture of compliance and transparency.

• Process Adherence & Investigation Practices.

Oversees and conducts investigations on complex issues (Open Door, Ethics referred matters), by driving investigative processes across teams, reviewing investigative strategies,ensuring investigations to align with established processes.

• Strategic Thought Leadership:

Expanding the role to include strategic thought leadership entails fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct, collaborating with the learning team and people partners to share Associate Relations insights, and shaping organizational governance and culture.

• Working with Multiple PoSH Committees: Overseeing work of three distinct PoSH committees within India demands dedicated attention to uphold fair and transparent investigations within IDC.

• Analytical Abilities - Tracking the progress of cases, eliminate inefficiencies in process and develop analytical summaries/reports of cases to develop meaningful insights for business.

What You’ll bring :

• MBA or PDGBA in Human Resources
• 18+ years of experience and progressive responsibility in Associate Relations / Labour relations
• Deep knowledge of Indian Labour laws
• Passion to work in high profile successful and challenging work environment 
• Passionate and driven by ownership across all facets of the job requirement including people, business, culture & leadership. 
• Exposure in building effective and scalable processes that are built to sustain growth
• Excellent communication and listening skills; strong team player 
• Good investigative skills with ability to work collaboratively across teams 
• Hands on, team leader and can-do attitude - high energy, positive, deadline-driven, dependable with an ability to deliver results with aggressive deadlines. 
• Strong reporting, analytical and data interpretation skills 
• Proven People Management experience of handling large teams.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related area and 5 years’ experience in human resources, associate relations, or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in in human resources, associate relations, or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
