Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle and MongoDB to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of relevant experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle and hands-on experience with MongoDB.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Oracle and MongoDB database environments, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle and MongoDB database software and related tools, including Oracle versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
• Implement and maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) for high availability and scalability.
• Configure and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data integration and replication.
• Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning strategies as necessary.
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Apply patches and updates to Oracle and MongoDB databases in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Perform database schema changes and migrations as needed.
• Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage and optimize sharded MongoDB environments, ensuring scalability and performance for large-scale applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Oracle and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of database management principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in administering Oracle and MongoDB database environments.
• Experience with Oracle RAC and GoldenGate.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with database security concepts and practices.
• Experience applying patches and updates to Oracle and MongoDB databases.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Oracle and/or MongoDB administration.
• Experience with other database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
