Dy General Manager - Dry Cargo Operations
Responsibilities
| Operational Planning: Developing and implementing strategies to optimize operations, ensuring efficient cargo handling, storage, and transportation to achieve annual budget targets. |
| Capacity management: Evaluate current handling capabilities with the cargo forecast to ensure sufficient capacity augmentation is proposed in time. |
| Resource Management: Efficiently managing human resources, equipment, and facilities to meet operational demands and ensure smooth cargo flow. |
| Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to local, national, and international regulations governing cargo terminal operations. |
Safety and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing measures to minimize risks in cargo handling operations. Risk Management: Assessing potential risks to terminal operations and developing strategies to mitigate and manage these risks effectively. Emergency Response: Developing and implementing emergency response plans to handle unforeseen events, such as accidents or natural disasters. |
Technology Integration: Motivate team in Implementing and leveraging technology solutions, Digitalization, process / modular automation to enhance customer experience, track cargo movements, and improve overall operational performance. Continuous Improvement: Implementing Adani Business Excellence principles for continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and improve overall performance. |
| Budgeting and Cost Control: Developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and implementing cost-control measures to optimize operational costs. |
Customer Relations: Train staff in Design Thinking principles for Collaborating with customers, and other stakeholders to address concerns, provide solutions, and maintain positive relationships. Quality Control: Monitoring and maintaining the quality of cargo handling processes to meet industry standards and customer expectations. |
| Performance Monitoring: Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitoring operational performance to identify areas for improvement. |
| Team Leadership: Leading and motivating a diverse teams, fostering a positive work culture, and facilitating professional development to enhance team performance and employee engagement. |
Qualifications
Qualifications: Graduation / MBA
Experience: Similar role or at least 10 years’ experience as Head of the Section / Head of the Department in cargo operations or equivalent
