Job Description
A platform engineer work on creating and managing the underlying systems and tools that enable developers to build, deploy, and operate their applications efficiently. The role of a platform engineer can vary depending on the client and the specific requirements of the platform they are working on.
Job Description - Grade Specific
Overall 8+ years working knowledge in front-end web development
Strong design and extensive implementation experience with Angular, NodeJS in a highly scalable production environment
Extensive programming experience in HTML5, Java Script and CSS3
Experience with tools like Redux, Webpack, Angular CLI and/or Gulp is an added advantage
Experience consuming REST APIs
Knowledge and experience in CI/CD pipelines
Experience with client-side architecture and design patterns
Understanding of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle and been exposed to Scrum projects
Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
Solid understanding and extensive experience with version control tools like Git
Exceptional problem solving and ability to work independently
Should possess basic Unix/Linux knowledge to be able to write and understand basic shell scripts and basic Unix commands
Candidates with knowledge on webserver setup and configuration with reverse proxy/ssl setup etc (preferred nginx webserver) is a plus.
Should have worked in Agile Environment
Financial markets background is preferable
