Job Title: Manager - Power & Network Infra ServicesBroad outline of the Role -
Power and Network Infrastructure (PNI) management is into critical business role directly influencing Tata Communications network/ business uptime, growth, customer SLA and revenues for Organization.
PNIS team consist of relevant experienced, skilled, and qualified electrical and mechanical engineering professions who maintain the 24/7 critical network / business uptime from power and cooling perspective. Any fraction of delay in service support can lead to unplanned business disruption which can impact company brand and reputation in the market.
Team manages the Network and IT server Rack space, power and HVAC capacity upgrade projects to enable the business growth as per projection received.
Purpose - Broad objective of the role -
The Manager position towards managing critical network business locations for 24/7-hour basis for 100% power and colling uptime requirement.
Job roles include Planning and implementation of critical Facility Operations and Maintenance Programs, planning and executing capacity enhancement Projects for Network server rack space, Power & HVAC, planning of CAPEX and Operation budgets, managing and monitoring costs on an ongoing basis, coordinating billing and related finance activities.
Participating in Strategic Planning Activities in relation to Power and HVAC requirements. Ensuring proper inventory and management of Facility Assets. Management of service contract workforce by vendors and service providers.
Team management in all HR aspects related to diverse and multi locational teams
Minimum qualification & experience
BE/Diploma in Electrical engineering.
12 - 15 years’ experience in telecom / Data center sector
Electrical/Mechanical Engineer Additional Certifications (Optional).
High Voltage switching training (Optional).
Data Centre Certified Professional Certification (Optional).
Project Management Professional Certification (Optional).
Other knowledge/skills
Sound Technical Knowledge on 33 KV / 22KV/ 11KV High Voltage Electrical Setup, Power and Distribution Transformer, Vacuum / SF6 type HT breakers and LT type Air Circuit breakers, HT / LT Type Automatic Transfer Swich (ATS), HT /LT DG sets.,HVAC systems High-Capacity chillers ( up to 1000TR capacity), High-Capacity UPS system, Precision Air-conditioning System, SMPS / DC power supply systems, High-capacity battery banks, Safety and security systems including Novac 1230 / FM200 /FE 227 systems, BMS ( Building Management Systems)
Appropriate exposure to Internal and external Audits like TL9000 ,ISO 27K, ISO 23K, ISO 14K, ISO 45K etc , Vendor management, Best Maintenance Practices, Team Building, Self & Team motivation, Analytical Skills, Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills, Business continuity management, emergency preparedness management and others compliance and standards related to telecom and Data Center Operations
