Perimeter Security Engineer – L2 

Job Description 

The leading security organization, Tata Communications Limited, has an immediate job opportunity for Perimeter Security Engineer and the position is required for one of its important customers. 

The role defines the ability to handle L1, L2, L2.5 level tickets of FortiNet Firewall, FortiManager and Zscaler Web proxy, this includes troubleshooting of security incidents to controls the impact also new service request from the customer. 

The roles need ability to work independently while handling multiple client incidents, projects. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

· Lead the technical deployment or troubleshooting on any of Fortinet Firewall, UTM and FortiManager 

· Implement project/change and troubleshoot incidents spanning FortiManager,FortiNet Firewall/UTM vendor products
· Implement project/change and troubleshoot incidents on Proxy solutions such as Z-Scaler. 
· Adherence to ITIL service management framework 

· Monitor/manage the customer perimeter security infrastructure as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with minimal escalations. 

· Vulnerability Management of the managed infrastructure with appropriate remediation 

· Apply investigation techniques to document root cause and impact of detected computer security incidents. 

· Performs or assists with IT security assessments or audits of Fortinet firewall policies. Document findings in written reports with recommendations for remediation. 

· Develops and maintains good communications and working relationships with teams and clients.



 Experience/Skill/Qualifications: 

· Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related IT field 

· 4+ years Network security administration, network security administration with security responsibilities 

· Very Good work experience on management of Fortinet Firewall through FortiManager
 
· Professional certification in IT security or network / systems administration is desirable (CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE1, NSE2, NSE4, ). 

· Able to communicate with technical staff/management. 

· Able to work on flexible 24/7 shifts. 

· Ability to adapt and follow the processes and guidelines 

· Possess an impeccable work ethic and a high degree of integrity
