Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled, professional, and dynamic Senior Manager for our Software Engineering team. The chosen individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing the development and maintenance of software applications supporting our ecommerce platform. This includes front-end applications for iOS, Android, Web, orchestration layer, and backend systems ( Java)

What you will do:

1. Manage the software development team, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations.

2. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software applications across various platforms (iOS, Android, Web)

3. Supervise the development of the orchestration layer, backend systems ( Java) to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

4. Work closely with other teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

5. Maintain a high level of technical expertise and industry knowledge, staying up to date with the latest technologies and trends.

6. Develop project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

7. Ensure software applications comply with quality standards and meet customer expectations.

8. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

9. Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other engineering teams, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What'll you bring:

1. Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology

2. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the ecommerce industry.

3. Extensive knowledge of mobile application development (iOS, Android), web development, orchestration layer, and backend systems, CMS Tools

4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.

5. Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

6. Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.

7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

8. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

9. Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

10. Strong knowledge of M*N matrix management.

11. Ability to foster innovation and engineering excellence within a team.

12. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.

13. Familiarity with ecommerce platforms is a plus.
