Job Description

Experience Required: 10+ years in power sector consultancy

Skillset required:

• Thorough understanding of Power sector regulations/ policies and commercial aspects across generation (including RE), transmission and distribution;
• Functional knowledge of power distribution business including (but not limited to) power procurement, open access, power trading, energy sales (comprising Metering, billing, collection process);
• Experience of preparing Strategy/ Corporate Vision plan for power utilities; 
• Detail knowledge of Tariff Petition, Tariff Orders and associated expense and revenue items;
• Ability to prepare complete financial model for tariff determination and project appraisal;
• Knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies, associated policies and developments in power/ energy sector such as Smart Meters, EV, BESS, Green Hydrogen, etc;
• Report writing and PPT skills;
• Data analytics and presentation using Microsoft Excel;
• Bid Process Management;
• Knowledge of IT in power sector is preferred.

Job Description:

• Representing the firm before senior management of client/ C-Suite/ IAS officials;
• Assisting client in improvement of commercial operations such as power procurement/ sale, MBC processes, etc;
• Advising client on new emerging technologies;
• Reviewing the developments in power sector and making sharp summary reports/ presentations;
• Preparing project reports/ presentations with insightful analysis and data visualization;
• Advising client on bid process management for procurement of works, goods, services, etc;
• Primary/ Secondary research to find/ extract data of relevance;
• Financial modeling for project appraisal;
• Supporting Managers/ ADs in preparation of business proposals.
