Education

• Master’s degree or higher in energy, engineering or relevant areas, preferably Energy Efficiency, Clean Energy, Environmental Economics.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead project execution through analyses, reports, presentations, client interactions, and overall project management.
• Conduct secondary research and critical analysis related to energy efficiency, renewable energy and its policy and regulatory provisions in Indian as well as international energy markets
• Ability to work with minimal guidance with a proactive approach.
• Participation in energy transition events and policy dialogue
• Contribute to BD / outreach activities such as preparing proposals, concept notes, discussion papers, brochures, etc. and actively support in organizing roundtables, workshops, and other types of stakeholder engagement.

Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience of working with multilateral and bilateral agencies on international development work in energy sector
• Experience of working with donor agencies and implementation entities, preferably in international geographies possessing networking with program managers and subject matter experts
• Ability to manage a global team of experts in delivering engagements in international development in energy sector  
• Experience and knowledge of energy policy and energy efficiency
• Ability to understand and analyze donor agencies’ programs on energy transition, energy transition partnerships, Clean Development Mechanism, country-wise NDC commitments, strategy and implementation plans to achieve energy transition, climate funds, carbon markets
• Experiences in developing/ reviewing the legal procedures or technical guidelines, regulation development, capacity building etc.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and technology service providers/suppliers in the energy intensive industries
• Knowledge of barriers and opportunities in energy efficiency/ energy transition
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, battery storage, hydro, green hydrogen, offshore wind, etc.
• Fair understanding of financial analysis/evaluation of different renewable energy technologies and familiarity with energy economics concepts.

Experience

• At least 08 years of experience in international development focusing on energy/ energy efficiency / energy transition consultancy
