Director - Strategy and Consulting

Viacom18 is seeking an experienced ‘Director Strategy and Consulting’ to lead strategic initiatives across our entertainment business, with a special focus on our entertainment proposition on JioCinema. This role will be part of our Strategy, Data Sciences and BI team. This role is crucial for assessing business performance, driving strategic analyses, and supporting executive decision-making through compelling insights and recommendations.

What will you do?

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically and strategically about the entertainment and digital media landscape, with a focus on long-term growth and value creation.
  • Digital Acumen: Deep understanding of the digital and TV landscape, with experience in evaluating digital content performance and leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, perform rigorous analysis, and synthesize insights for decision-making.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and deliver presentations to the CXO suite.
  • Program Management: Proven experience in identifying strategic opportunities, designing project proposals, securing leadership buy-in, and following up on implementation.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovation: Ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities, trends, and technologies that can drive business growth and differentiation.

    • Who should apply for this role?

  • Candidates with 10-15 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar role, with a focus on the entertainment, digital media or digital first industry.
  • Individuals with MBA from a tier-1 business school.
  • Candidates with 5+ years of team leadership experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with SQL, MixPanel, and broadcast data (or ability to learn these on the job)
