Responsibilities

Overall IT Strategy

► Contributeto overallIT strategyand roadmapformulation by evaluating ideas and providing inputs from the Development, Security & Operations (Dev Sec Ops) perspective; Actively participate in IT Strap and support in prioritization of IT projects and initiatives in line with business requirements

► Definethe strategic objectives and annual plan for the Dev Sec Ops function keeping in mind the present/ future requirements of the group and business; Chart out the future road map for the verticals and set goals for team

► Formulateand maintain IT capital and operating budgets in addition to budgeting forspecial initiatives and projects for the vertical

► Develop the strategy and management of IT systems and security  including development, sourcing plans, operating model while ensuring alignment with the corporate and business strategy

IT Research and Innovation

► Drive improvement of existing technology by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and sponsoring ongoing research

► Continuallyscan thechanging technologicallandscape, studybest practicesand introducenew and innovativesolutions at site level in line with group IT team.

► SteerPOCs inassociation withpartners forvaried ITapplications with adoption of rapidly evolving/ relatively mature technologies; Maintain point-of-view on new IT applications for the Adani group

► Organize events and join in forums to interact with different technology solution providers and evaluate if new solutions can be introduced at group and business levels.

Integrated Operations Management & Operations Review

► EnforceIT operations policy in alignment with the ITIL framework and in adherence to overallIT operating model and guidelines established by the group

► Define protocols and design tools and templates to monitor IT systems, application and security operations at the BU level

► Drive end-to-end Application service support and IT service management in line with the ITIL framework guidelines

Systems, Application Performance

► Manageavailability ofthe BU ITapplications servicesand solutions;Continuously monitorperformance andcapacity of Application with theobjective toidentify scopefor improvementand facilitateit forsystems at APSEZ.

► Monitor,maintain and troubleshoot applications and offer guidance at site level.

► Maintainoversight andconduct periodicreviews to ensure adherence to defined SLAs; Record non-adherences and facilitate prompt resolution

Service Desk & Incident Management

► Implementproblem resolutionsystem tofacilitate seamless Applications at APSEZ, maintainoversight and ensure timely resolution of Application service, solutions and operations inquiries/ requests and security breach incidents; Act as a final point of escalation for resolution of issues

► Supportin systemsand applicationsupgradation actionswithout disturbanceto business.

Security Operations

► Enforce defined securityoperations managementprotocols andpolicy (including Application security management, system hardening, compliance management, security patchmanagement, VAPT, IS awareness) in alignment with the AO contract scope & SLAs

► Implementprocesses formaintaining securityof ITsolutions andservices inline withstandard operatingprocedures

► Driveroutine security procedures such  as patching,  managing access rights, malware protection,or vulnerability  testing; Manage  the  implementation  of information security programs at APSEZ>

► Drive implementation of information security, privacy and data protection controls (people/ process/ technology); Implement identified new levels of controls to reflect changesin factors such as threat levels

►  Monitorsecurity complianceand implementrecommendations ofaudit findings at APSEZ.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plans

► Evaluate,identify andhighlight theneed for Disaster Recovery processes (subset of BCP) for projects/ initiative and new processes in alignment with the requirements stated by the business andregulations

► Lead implementation and maintenance of Crisis Management and Disaster recovery plans in line with overall Business Continuity Plans; Undertake preventive, directive, and coercive measures to sustain availability, backup and recovery of applications.

Analyze theadoption of Applications and provideinsights onrationalization of application / solutiondelivery.

► Designsourcing planfor theEA functionand facilitateraising ofPRs forsite EArelated applications.

► Monitor applications utilization, analyze usage patterns and develop plans to improve the consumption efficiency; Partner with Technology Head to review and optimize the demand management performance matrix for APSEZ.

Drive a performance driven culture – Set goals, review performance, and provide feedback so as to ensure a motivated and committed team

►     Developemployee capability and build functional excellence through various learning and development interventions and mentoring initiatives

►             Foster an environment of learning, excellence, and innovation within the team and across teams

Governance Committees (IT Executive Council)

►   Partner with Head IT, and Convene IT Executive Councilat the determined frequency to review operations and engage with partners

► Reviewissues surroundingIT applicationsoperations anddevise measures to streamline operations and ensure smooth user experience

► Conductperiodic dialogue with partners to ensure service delivery as per established SLA levels; Facilitate partner support by channelizing Adani resources/ stakeholders as required

Governance Committees (Other committees)

► Identifythe needfor enhancing/ improvising IT Application services and brainstorm to find suitable IT systems and solutions (if required); Investigate and make recommendations on IT systems/applications as per requirements raised by stakeholders

► Participatein othergovernance committeesand providesupport asan Applications,Systems andOperations SMEas perdefined frequencyand milestonereviews

►  Compliance withARB process relevant to application and systems related project elements

Partner Empanelment

►     Continuallyscan thechanging landscape and identify potential partners to collaborate with, keepingin mind current/future requirements of the organization; Collaborate with BU sites or respective COEs and identify prospective partners for project delivery

►     Evaluatetechnical proposalfrom variouspartners andparticipate inthe shortlistingand finalizationprocesses basedon technicalevaluations

Contract Management and Partner Engagement

►     Enliststandard rates vis-à-vis partner offerings on rate contract document and offerthe rate contract document to facilitate contracting on standardized rates across the BU

►     Trackpartner performance to ensure project delivery basis expected quality, timelinesand budgetary considerations, Address instances of non- performances and partner escalations

►     Cultivatemeaningful relationships with partners and leverage them for value additions to business; Engage with partners on a frequent basis for establishing a win-win relationship

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

►     Bachelors in Engineering in any discipline. 

Experiences:

►     Minimum 15-20 years of overallexperience with around 7 years of relevant experience in managing Information Technology operations; At least 5 years of experiencein a leadership role at large or mid-sized organizationwith global operations isdesired

►     Preferable to have worked in Ports and logistic industry and having functional business knowledge.

►     Experience in strategic planning and execution; Strong experience in implementing business solutions

►     Experience in managing large PORT IT infrastructure and applications (TOS) will be added advantage.

►     Experience across a range IT discipline including infrastructure and data center technologies, application management and service delivery.

►     Experience of negotiating contracts and managing service agreement with technicalpartners

►     Experience in managing developing multi-million-dollar department/organization operating and capital budgets and effectively planning and managing activities within the established constraints of approved budgets

►     Sound exposure to IT research & technologies tools andtechniques and knowledge sharing

►     Must have exposure of managing large scale transformation projects and seasoned understanding of change management

►     Experience of managing complexstakeholder interactions and leading discussions with top management

►     Experience of managing technical teams and working in cross functional set up; Possesses ability to coach and guide teams
