Safety Engineer
Responsibilities
Supervision and Co-ordination of all construction and commissioning activities through highest level of implementation of safety procedures.
- Ensure accident-free execution of project related activities
- Ensure implementation of highest standards of HSE
- Work with Site Head to carry out daily safety observation tours and Safety risk field audits
- Ensure implementation of Group & BU specific Project safety requirements
- Prepare Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly site dashboard and report back to BU Safety head & Site head
- Conduct safety tour, Safety interaction and Safety risk field audit at periodic intervals and ensure their corrections within stipulated time frames
- Attending Toolbox talks (TBT) conducted by contractors. Also organize TBTs for project teams
- Coordinate with site team for organizing site safety meeting and ensure completion of all open/pending observations
- Review all contractor documents such as HSE plan, Method statements, JSA, HIRA, SOPs or work instructions and provide inputs for correction to ensure safe execution of all activities
- Organize EHS Induction training, job specific safety training and awareness session for site teams and witness contractor EHS training to evaluate effectiveness
- Ensure compliance to PTW & LOTO requirements.
- Ensure compliance of all applicable legal compliances pertaining to EHS
Qualifications
B.E/ B-Tech in any Engineering branch (Electrical engineers preferable) or
BSC in Physics, Chemistry or Fire safety

Preference (Not mandatory):
Post diploma in Industrial safety or NEBOSH IGC or NEBOSH Diploma
Minimum 5-6 years of HSE experience in execution of infrastructure, railway, warehouse, factory construction, refinery expansion, power plant construction projects
