The team

The AWS Architect will be joining the IT Business Applications Team.  This role will be part of a team responsible for delivering implementations on web technologies.

The Role

Responsibilities:
•    Utilize AWS services for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
•    Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and testing of frontend and serverless backend code.
•    Implement security best practices for both frontend (React) and serverless backend (Python/Django/DRF).
•    Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers, assisting them in their professional growth.
•    Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
•    Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, readability, and adherence to established standards.
•    Troubleshoot and debug application issues, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, and optimizing application performance.
•    Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Python, Django, React, frameworks.
•    Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development.
•    Maintain detailed source code documentation.

What you’ll bring

Qualifications:
•    Overall 12+ years of software development, lead, and deployment experience
•    9+ years of software development experience with both frontend and backend. Preferable React/Python/Django (Java background also works).
•    9+ years of database architecture and design experience. Strong hands-on SQL
•    3+ years of experience on AWS
•    4+ years of experience with CI/CD and deployment
•    Good knowledge on Security, session management, REST, OKTA, AUTHO, etc.
•    Familiarity with working in Linux
•    Good knowledge on performance improvement of application.
•    Experience on guiding and leading the team.
•    Should have experience overseeing the entire life cycle of minimum two projects as Architect.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
•    Ability to work independently, finding solutions to programming problems with minimal oversight
•    Ability to work in a team with diverse technical backgrounds
•    Ability to provide technical requirements
•    Ability to adapt to changing project requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
