Job Description - Informatica Data Governance Senior Profile

Experience Level – 3+ years relevant experience

Responsibilities :

• Independently implement, configure, and manage Informatica solutions such as EDC and Axon to meet client requirements in alignment with data governance framework.
• Conduct thorough assessments of client's current data governance and management practices.
• Implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures in the DG tool including, EDC, Axon and IDQ.
• Customize and optimize Informatica solutions to meet specific client requirements.
• Ensure the integration of Informatica data governance, catalog and data quality tools with other systems and data sources.
• Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment activities using Informatica IDQ.
• Develop and maintain metadata repositories, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Informatica implementations.
• Provide expert advice on the selection and application of Informatica tools in various business scenarios.
• Evaluate and compare Informatica solutions with other market providers to ensure the best fit for the client.
• Provide training and support to business users on data governance practices and Informatica tools.

Required Skillset

• Proven experience and track record of successful implementing and configuring Informatica solutions such as EDC, Axon, or IDQ.
• Strong understanding of data governance and management principles and methodologies.
• Expertise in data catalog, data quality, and master data management.
• Proficiency in data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical side of the projects from conception to implementation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to document and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Good to have

• Informatica certifications in EDC, Axon, Collibra, Alation and/or IDQ.
• Experience or knowledge of different informatica solutions such as Master Data Management, IDMC etc.
• Experience / fair level of understanding with other data management tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of industry-specific data standards and compliance regulations.
• Familiarity with recent technology changes in data catalog, data quality, and master data management.
