Job Description

The Junior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for critical financial and quantitative aspects of construction projects. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining project integrity.

• Execute meticulous quantification from design information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct thorough verification of quantities provided by Engineers or Suppliers to maintain project accuracy.
• Diligently obtain and analyse quotations and pricing from suppliers and vendors to support cost-effective decision-making.
• Develop and structure comprehensive estimates, bills of quantities, and bills of materials with utmost precision.
• Perform in-depth rate analysis to ensure competitive and realistic project costing.
• Implement and maintain robust project WBS structures to effectively track and control cost information.
• Establish, set, and rigorously track project baseline budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and project viability.
• Deliver accurate and timely reporting of project information, including professional liaison with broader project team members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of CPWD Publications, DSR, and other relevant industry standards.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A degree in Civil or Construction Engineering is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in the buildings sector, specifically in Quantity Surveying or Estimation, is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Structural and Architectural items and methods used in the construction of buildings (including Commercial and Residential complexes, Airports, Metro Stations, and Warehouses) is essential.
• A thorough understanding of contract conditions is preferable.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software is non-negotiable, including:
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Expertise in Revit or BIM software will be considered a significant advantage.
• In-depth familiarity with CPWD publications is crucial, including:
• Delhi Schedule of Rates (DSR)
• Plinth Area Rates (PAR)
• MORTH Specifications
• Maharashtra State PWD Schedule of Rates

Candidates who do not meet these stringent criteria will not be considered for this position.
