Medical Content Editor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Content Editor to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine or life sciences, combined with exceptional editing skills and a passion for maintaining the integrity of medical information. The Medical Content Editor will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring the accuracy of our medical content across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and edit medical content for clarity, accuracy, and relevance, ensuring it adheres to the highest editorial standards and is compliant with relevant guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with medical writers, healthcare professionals, and subject matter experts to refine content and verify the factual correctness of medical data.
• Ensure all content is reader-friendly and tailored to the target audience, which may include healthcare professionals, patients, care givers, or the general public.
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology and concepts to enhance the quality and credibility of content.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Provide feedback to content creators to improve the quality of submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree in a medical or scientific discipline is highly preferred.
• Proven experience as an editor in a medical or scientific publishing environment.
• Strong command of the English language and excellent writing and editing skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminologies, clinical research protocols, and healthcare industry standards.
• Proficiency in editing software and content management systems.
• Ability to interpret and summarize complex medical information.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
