Cluster Manager, Environmental Health and Safety

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an Environmental, Safety Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in the field of Environmental Health and Safety.
• Experience with India regulations for facilities and employees.

Preferred qualifications:

• EHS related licenses, or certifications (Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or similar).
• Experience managing campus operations with a focus on compliance, permitting, employee safety, and incident management.
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment in partnership with facility management teams, security, and business leadership.
• Experience providing a full range of occupational health and safety solutions.
• Experience dealing with regulatory authorities.
• Knowledge of local Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and standards as they apply to business operations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in program development to support management system implementation and sustainment. Work proactively to address EHS risk and find mitigation solutions, which will be addressed collaboratively.
• Develop and deploy local policies, standard operating procedures and guidance as related to Environmental, Health, Safety Operations, Emergency Management and large-scale events.
• Interpret and provide guidance to business leadership for compliance on local policies, legislation, and regulations.
• Implement Environmental Health and Safety related solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams such as Facilities Management and Security.
• Deploy and audit Environmental Health and Safety programs.

As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.
