Introduction to role
The Process Solutions CoE within Global Business Services (GBS) has been established to deliver data and digital services to AstraZeneca and lower costs to serve. The Process Mining team has become a pivotal advanced analytics capability that can unlock processing capacity and value at AstraZeneca through automated process discovery, analytics, and automated decision-support workflows. We drive data-led process performance improvements by transforming digital process data into process models using sophisticated process mining techniques. Custom analyses and workflows are built using these process models to generate the business insights needed to drive process performance improvements. We are looking for Process Mining Analysts to join the Process Mining team as we scale the capability and deliver process mining (Celonis) solutions across AstraZeneca.
Accountabilities
Working alongside the Senior Managers and Process Mining Consultants within the Process Mining team, the role will be responsible for the following activities:
- Identify and connect to various data sources across AstraZeneca (API, data warehouses, data lakes)
- Implement data extractions & transformations (SQL, Python)
- Create data models & process knowledge models
- Build analytics views and dashboards (using PQL i.e. Process Query Language)
- Build automated workflows to facilitate pro-active process interventions using the Process Mining platform low code language
- Support Process Mining Consultants in delivering process insights and helping answer key business questions about processes.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Economics or a comparable degree
- 5-6 years’ of overall experience and 1-3 years’ of relevant working on Process Mining or Process Data & Analytics projects.
- Experience working with relational databases using SQL queries
- Python programming skills appreciated but not required
- Experience with source code version control and issue tracking (Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience in producing visualizations to communicate process data effectively in a data visualization tool.
- Analytical skills to be able to discover, analyze and draw insight from complex datasets.
- Knowledge of at least 1 functional area processes (Finance, HR etc.) and related Source System datasets will be appreciated.
- Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders daily
- Energetic, organized and self-motivated
- Hands-on experience in a Process Mining Tool (Celonis, UiPath, QPR, Minit etc.) will be a strong advantage
