Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 years of experience working with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 5 years of experience managing engineers.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience utilizing knowledge of Google-wide technologies and methods.
• Understanding of corporate real estate business processes, workflows, and industry-standard software solutions.
• Ability to manage technical relationships with third-party vendors, including overseeing vendor selection, onboarding, performance evaluations, and overall management.

The Spaces Engineering team is seeking an experienced and motivated Applications Engineering Manager to lead our Application Engineering team.

As the Manager, you will lead a team responsible for researching, evaluating, customizing, and implementing vendor-supplied applications. These applications will be critical in optimizing Google's Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) business processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Lead large-scale projects and manage third-party product integrations.
• Oversee application development, systems integration, and ensure engineering excellence.
• Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team. Provide mentorship and performance management
• Drive collaboration and stakeholder management, including vendor management and cross-functional alignment
