Field Data Engineer

A purpose driven role for you

o Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
o Build and optimize data models, schemas, and storage solutions to support various analytical and operational use cases.
o Implement data quality and validation checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data.
o Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring high availability and performance.
o Work with data warehousing and data lake technologies to manage and organize large datasets.
o Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, pipelines, and best practices.
o Support data governance and compliance initiatives, ensuring that data handling practices adhere to regulatory requirements.

A Day in the life

~Data Management
- Management of database, cloud platform preferably AWS and data warehouse i.e snowflake.
- Closely working with the AI/ML team to ensure our data systems meet the needs of business and support our data-driven initiatives.
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data infrastructure.
~Data Engineer
- Converted complex data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV) into structured formats for analysis and reporting
- Developed and executed ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows to transform data from various sources into standardized formats.
- Design and develop interactive, dynamic visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, or similar technologies.
- Conduct data analysis and data quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Create data stories and presentations to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Academic Qualification & Experience

BE/B-Tech or M-Tech in technical course of studies. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

o Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
o Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
o Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
o Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or Scala.
o Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS must, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) and their data services.
o Familiarity with data warehousing and data modelling concepts.
o Knowledge of data pipeline and workflow management tools.
o Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Behavioural Skills

o Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
