How will you do it?
The JCI Building Solutions North America Finance team is looking for a Sr Incentive Comp Analyst to join our Incentive Compensation team. In this role, you will perform support activities needed related to the development, analytics, and reporting of sales compensation and incentive programs. You'll use a combination of analytics, project management, and operational excellence to work with the sales team leads across the North America organization to ensure incentive plans are resulting in desired overall sales performance, targets are set timely, our customers are aligned to the process, and our processes follow Audit controls. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have excellent partnering, communication, and analytical skills.
What you will do
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for providing analytical support of sales incentive plan (SIP) administration. This position will act as analyst for performing both simple and complex duties relevant to SIP support utilizing previous experience, strong problem-solving, organizational, and technical abilities, balanced judgment, excellent communication, and collaboration skills.
- Assist in the development of financial modeling and advanced analytics on large datasets to assist in the decision-making process to ensure alignment of plan components to business line results objectives. Research and validate metrics are clear, measurable, and material
- Provide quantitative reporting to business leads to assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness and impact of incentive plans within the organization.
- Provide support for incentive plans and SPIFFs that are manually calculated developing both simple and complex reporting and calculations
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee’s specific information such as salary, bonus, and employment agreements
- Prepare special analyses, reports, presentations, etc. as needed
- Provide ongoing support for reporting, troubleshooting and resolution of sales incentive issues.
- Collaborate with business partners (e.g., sales, HR, payroll, total rewards, finance, IT etc.) who support commissionable employees to meet business objectives.
What you will bring
- Fluent in English language
- A firm grasp of complex modeling techniques related to various types of high-level analysis (e.g., forecasting, business analytics, sales incentive modeling, etc.) is required
- 3+ years of sales operations, accounting, analytics, or sales incentive experience
- 3+ years of professional work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business: Accounting, Finance, Economics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Proficient with MS Excel formulas and pivot tables
- Familiarity with MS PowerBI, Tableau or other visualization tool for creating interactive dashboards and reports
- Familiarity of working in a monthly, quarterly cadence will be helpful
- Familiarity with SAP/Callidus or Oracle SPM
- Focus on detail, accuracy, and ability to solve problems through analytical reasoning
- Excellent business partnering and communication skills
- Experience in business analysis including issue tracking, problem resolution, and reporting
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Demonstration of software agility
