Job Description

Support in Developing, reviewing and publishing laboratory test procedures and write reports based on Laboratory experimental tests results related to Corrosion.

Responsible for ensuring that preferred practice materials and processes are implemented on new vehicles programs to achieve global corrosion performance requirements.

Responsible in early development design reviews for high risk systems and components.

Ensure all enablers are properly utilized and released to meet corrosion Functional Objectives for global and regional targets.

Support in evaluating both laboratory and vehicle level test results, resolve development issues related to corrosion performance

Prepare laboratory corrosion test procedures and write reports on lab results

PRIMARY SKILLS

Experience in materials and process selection used in the design of automotive components to meet corrosion requirements.

Demonstrate knowledge in corrosion test procedures and the selection of materials to minimize corrosion. Experience with relevant Industry standards (ASTM, ISO, SAE, ILSAC) is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to articulate, communicate and implement a strategic vision in English. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to write technical specifications.

Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in a team, able to follow directions and to make job related decisions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge in basic statistics and process control.

SECONDARY SKILLS

Bachelor degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering or Chemical Metallurgist or Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy & Materials Science from an accredited University.

High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)

Pre-requisite: Direct experience in an Automotive Engineering or Laboratory or Research environment is a plus
