General Summary:

The IT CAD Support role involves providing comprehensive CAD support for engineering projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and maintaining high standards of quality in all deliverables.

How You Will Do It:

• Oversee and direct CAD support activities for multiple complex projects, ensuring timely completion and compliance with design requirements.

• Collaborate closely with design teams to prepare technical submissions including detailed schematics and layouts.

• Review project designs for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct detailed calculations to verify system designs meet all necessary specifications and codes.

• Facilitate design reviews and presentations during project meetings with stakeholders and clients.

• Provide technical support and guidance to CAD Technicians and junior staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

• Monitor project timelines and resource allocation to optimize team performance and project delivery.

• Participate in risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies as needed to ensure project success.

• Engage in continuous improvement efforts to enhance CAD processes and outputs.

• Maintain accurate documentation of project progress and updates for internal tracking and client communication.

What We Look For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in CAD support, specifically within engineering or architectural disciplines.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and other CAD software applications, with a strong understanding of drafting standards and protocols.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions to complex design challenges.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven experience in mentoring and developing junior staff and promoting professional growth within the team.

• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards relevant to CAD design.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
