We are the "Certification Team" who manage the rapidly growing third party content catalog for Amazon Devices. We drive the entire lifecycle(ingestion and certification) process for Alexa skills which involves the entire life cycle from the time a developer submits any content to the time it is put up on the store, whilst ensuring the highest quality experience for Amazon customers.
The team is looking for a Content Test Specialist. Content Test Specialist test cutting edge applications and products at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Content Test Specialist at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks of test case execution from start to completion with minimal help. You would be responsible for understanding the product in detail, and updating the test case tool with test execution results.


Key job responsibilities
• Perform test instruction execution and report deviations accurately
• Review and own updates to the test plan on an ongoing basis
• Use software tools for data capture and comply with the processes of the organization on a daily basis
• Be comfortable with capturing results, communicating and escalating failures and providing individual status reports and adhering to Productivity and Quality base lines.
• Raising all failures/doubts related to the execution of test cases in the clarification portal and closing the same as per the SLA’s
• Own the daily targets against internal and external dependencies.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
• Should be able to deal with ambiguity


A day in the life
• Check how many skills have been assigned to you each day morning and complete certification based on SOP speedily and also with high quality, mark down test results on internal system, write Japanese or English blurbs to communicate with developers or directly talk with business team face to face.
• Discussion with team members locally/globally about a concern, share your findings and seek solution together.

Basic Qualifications

• Business level English and native level Japanese language, both verbal and written skills.
• Reading comprehension to understand Japanese sentence and written skills including 漢字 (kanji) conversion
• Understanding basics of software testing or hardware devices like tablets and smart phones.
• Comfortable communicating on emails and across multiple-management levels.
• Prior work experience in testing and/or operations
• Able to work in our India Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Full time Graduate in technology, computer science, computer application
• Strong working knowledge of basic business software like Word, Excel etc.
• Knowledge of web technologies like basic HTML, CSS etc. or Software testing environment.
• Knowledge of gaming software or Mobile Apps, Android OS.
• Self-motivation and a strong bias for action; the ability to hit aggressive productivity goals without micromanagement
• Ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire content operations team
• Comfortable with capturing results, communicating and escalating failures and providing individual status reports and adhering to Productivity and Quality base lines.
• Solid organizational skills and team player.
• Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detailed-oriented

• Attention to details and ability to root cause important issues impacting process or customers
