Senior Mechanical Research Engineer

Qualifications:

1. Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

2. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on design optimization and manufacturing processes.

3. Strong understanding of DFx principles, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).

4. Expertise in FMEA and other quality control methodologies in manufacturing.

5. Experience with CAD/CAM/CAE software and simulation tools.

6. Proven experience in defect analysis and root cause identification in manufacturing environments.

7. Strong background in data analysis and interpretation, particularly with diverse data sources relevant to manufacturing and product lifecycle.

8. Experience with predictive and prescriptive analytics, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering context.

9. Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts, particularly as applied to engineering design.

10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically about complex systems.

11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with programming languages such as C++, Python and MATLAB for data analysis and model development.

2. Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies.

3. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and big data technologies.

4. Experience with additive manufacturing technologies and processes.

5. Track record of publications or patents in the field of design optimization or AI-driven manufacturing.

6. Familiarity with IoT technologies and their application in manufacturing.

7. Experience working with CRM, ERP, and MES systems, and ability to integrate data from these sources for comprehensive analysis.
