Manager

The Energy Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing energy initiatives and sustainability projects to optimize energy efficiency and support in organization's environmental goals. This role involves conducting energy audits, managing renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with energy regulations and standards, and promoting energy conservation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Energy Audits and Analysis: Conduct detailed energy audits to identify opportunities for energy savings and efficiency improvements. Analyze energy consumption data to track performance and identify trends.
• Energy Efficiency Projects: Develop and implement energy efficiency projects, including upgrades to HVAC systems, lighting, and building insulation. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these projects.
• Renewable Energy Management: Oversee the organization’s renewable energy portfolio, including solar, wind, and other sustainable energy sources. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure successful implementation and maintenance.
• ISO Certification Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO 50001 & 14001 standards (Energy Management Systems & Environment Management Systems) and other relevant energy regulations. Prepare and maintain documentation required for certification and audits.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and promote sustainability initiatives to reduce the organization’s carbon footprint. Understanding of Scopes of Emissions, Emission calculations. Educate and engage employees on energy conservation practices.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the energy management budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Identify and apply for awards for energy projects.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on energy consumption, cost savings, and environmental impact for leadership. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in the form of dashboards.
• Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and energy suppliers to ensure effective delivery of services and products related to energy management.
• Policy Development: Develop and implement energy policies and procedures to support the organization’s sustainability goals.

Qualifications:

• Education: B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management or a related field. 
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management, including experience with renewable energy projects. Experience in a corporate or commercial building environment is preferred.
• Certifications: ISO 50001 Lead Auditor certification and certification in Environment Management is highly desirable. 
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of energy management principles, renewable energy technologies, and sustainability practices. Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and energy monitoring tools.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in energy modeling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Other Requirements: Ability to stay current with industry trends and advancements in energy management and sustainability practices.
