Billing & QS Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
2. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to estimate project costs.
3. Create and maintain bills of quantities (BOQs) for various construction elements.
4. Review and validate contractor invoices against work completed and contractual terms.
5. Assist in cost control by monitoring project expenses and variations.
6. Prepare progress payment certificates for contractors.
7. Participate in tender evaluations and negotiations with subcontractors.
8. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations related to billing and payments.
9. Prepare detail BOQ’s with measurement sheet for tendering based on concept plans.
10. Preparation of tender documents including Tech. specifications, STC etc..
11. Review any checking of BOQ’s provided by consultant’s / Vendors.
12. Preparation of estimates for package value upto Rs. 1 Cr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Certification in quantity surveying or cost management is advantageous.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong analytical skills for accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
• Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

Experience:

• Proven experience in quantity surveying, billing, and cost management within the construction industry.
• Min Exp: - 5 Years
• Min Relevant Exp:- 3 Years as QS & Estimates for high rise building & commercial building projects.
