GCP Infra Architect (ATC)

Position Overview: As the Senior Infrastructure Architect (GCP), you will be responsible for architecting and overseeing the implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and clients to design robust and scalable architectures that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset. Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design: Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to meet business and technical requirements. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring adherence to best practices for cloud architecture, security, and scalability. Solution Implementation: Lead the implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager to automate provisioning and deployment processes. Cloud Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute cloud adoption strategies, migration plans, and optimization initiatives. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) in cloud environments. Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability, leveraging GCP services and monitoring tools. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture designs, configurations, procedures, and best practices. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Software Engineering, and IT Operations to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions. Emerging Technologies: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to cloud computing and infrastructure architecture. Qualifications: Technical Skills: Extensive experience architecting and designing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including compute, networking, storage, databases, and security services. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar. Security Expertise: Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance requirements. Networking: Knowledge of cloud networking principles, including VPCs, VPNs, CDN, and DNS management on GCP. Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana) and logging solutions. Scripting/Programming: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and programming concepts. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, with at least 3 years focused on designing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Professional certifications such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect preferred.
