EY-IoT Senior – Consulting

As part of our GDS Consulting team, you will be part of Digital & Emerging team delivering to clients across regions.

The client base spans across various sectors and includes collaboration with other teams within Consulting services.

The opportunity

Technical Lead in Technology Consulting to work closely with IoT team responsible for delivering a best-in-class on-premises and cloud capability for the products and platforms for our customers across the globe on IoT (Internet of Things) space. Your key responsibilities

• Responsible for developing Infrastructure & Devops strategy and roadmap for monitoring and maintaining cloud platforms.
• Work closely with project teams and architects to understand current Infrastrcuture maturity and prepare transformation strategy.
• Define and standardize DevOps tools and technologies.
• Promote DevOps best practices and increase DevOps adoption across teams.
• Monitor infrastructure including proactive capacity management and replication strategies.
• Build and operate CI and CD tools and process.
• Build and operate a secure cloud and networking environment, responsible for end-to-end platform security and security audits.
• Operational tasks for maintenance of the platform
• Provide mentorship and coaching to DevOps engineers.
• IoT Cloud Infrastructure Management
• Maintain and scale our both Azure and AWS - based IoT cloud solution.
• Configure and manage DynamoDB, DynamoDB Streams, PostgreSQL, IoT Core, and Lambda
• services to ensure seamless operation.
• Automation and Deployment
• Develop and implement automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration,
• management, and deployment processes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate efficient software releases.
• Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems for IoT cloud resources.
• Analyze system performance metrics and optimize resource utilization for cost-efficiency and
• performance improvements.
• Security and Compliance
• Ensure the security of infrastructure through best practices and deploying proper tools.
• Troubleshooting and Incident Response.
• Rapidly diagnose and resolve infrastructure and service-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain incident response plans for critical scenarios.

Skills and attributes for success

• Experienced in engineering/operating IT Infrastructure solutions in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS. Preferably on Azure Cloud
• Strong experience in scripting & automating with Terraform, Ansible, Bash, PowerShell and Python
• Good cloud networking knowledge covering macro and micro-segmentation, Landing Zone, Microsoft cloud Adoption framework, Virtual Networks/VPCs, sub-netting, NSG’s, route tables, VPN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, IPsec, Load Balancing, DHCP, DNS, AWS Route53/ Azure Private DNS Zones, NTP, Azure Traffic Manager, Azure Policies, Azure Load balancers, Azure App services, Azure Storage, Azure ARM templates
• Strong, experience working on autoscaling Kafka and MQTT Brokers, AKS clusters, DR strategy, data replication,SSL certificate installations.
• Experience on Jenkins, GitHub, Azure Devops
• Experience on deploying IoT Edge components is a bonus
• Authentication, Directory Services, LDAP and IAM: Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Certificate Services, Single Sign-On, AWS IAM.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• BE/BTech/MTech with a sound industry experience of 3 to 6Years
• 3-5 years’ experience engineering/operating IT Infrastructure solutions in public cloud platforms Microsoft Azure, AWS
• Relevant professional certifications: Cloud: Microsoft Azure AZ-104. AZ-700, AZ- 305,Kafka
• Excellent communication skills with consulting experience preferred

• Experience in domains like Manufacturing, P&U, Healthcare, Supply Chain, Automotive
