Senior Engineer -Corrosion Cell
Responsibilities
- Lead investigation of corrosion problems on existing facilities, monitoring of remedial methods, review & implementation of corrosion control programs.
- Plan and execute corrosion prevention related project e.g.; Inspection; Maintenance Coating, Composite repair; other improvement project including budget preparation & project management.
- Plan, supervise & implement routine and non-routine corrosion mitigation and control activities in assigned operational areas.
- Formulate maintenance schedules and policies in accordance with the latest norms, accepted practices and standards and upgrade them from time to time as per the advances in technology.
- Ensures that all corrosion mitigation measures are consistently applied in accordance with the maintenance schedules and standard norms.
- Failure Analysis. Coordination of corrosion control activities with operations, maintenance / engineering and consultants’ representatives.
- Working as part of a multi-discipline asset maintenance and engineering team, provide expert solutions on areas such as material selection, corrosion prevention and mitigation, integrity management, paints and coatings and cathodic protection.
Qualifications
- B.E. Chemical / Electrochemical / Metallurgical / Mechanical / M.Sc. – M. Tech- Corrosion Engineering from reputed institute.
- Certification on Nondestructive testing; Paints & Coating; Cathodic Protection; Welding Inspection; Tanks & pipeline inspection from reputed organization e.g. ASNT / NACE / API will be added advantage
- Total – 5 to 8 Years relevant experience preferably in Ports, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Fertilizer, Power Plant or related Industries.
