Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the mechanical engineering projects within the copper business, ensuring adherence to project schedules, resource allocation, and budget constraints
• Assist management in making strategic decisions during project set up with value engineering for speedy and efficient project completion.                                                                                     
• Review project plan based on benchmark trends of execution through external partners or internal capabilities and draw contingency/ back-up plans by developing alternate strategies in achieving project milestones.
• Develop and implement project plans, considering engineering requirements and standards, to meet project objectives and quality standards
• Lead smooth and timely commissioning of project through coordination with the Project Head and other Functional heads.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation and transformation within projects, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Foster a team-oriented environment, promoting employee development and teamwork to achieve project goals and objectives
• Enable capability development of employees within the Site teams by overseeing implementation of appropriate systems and policies.

Qualifications

• 14-18 years of progressive experience in mechanical project management within the metal industry
• Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, MS-Office etc
